My Last Oddball Art Design Team Project

Hello Lovelies,

As you have read in the title, today i am here to share with you my last project as a member of Oddball art's design team and FB co-ordinator. I had a great ride and met a lot of amazing people in the last year and i am grateful for the experience Lizzy Love gave me as being Facebook co-ordinator.

My last project is for the Facebook anything goes challenge over at Mixed Mediaology and I created a card.

I was inspired by a photo i saw on Instagram posted by @getmessyartjournal where they made a similar background on an art journal page using washi tape. I took out all my favorite washi tapes and decided to try to re-create my own version of this.  I also added scraps of pink glitter paper that i had sitting on my desk from a previous project.

I used a flower i got from michaels a while back and some glitter pieces also from michaels. My sentiment was made using my dymo label maker and i colored up the digi with my copics.

Well, i guess this is it folks. Thanks for stopping by and thank you to Lizzy Love for having me on her design team. On that note, have you heard about the new DT call? There’s been some new changes and awesome added opportunities added and you all should check it out and apply if you are interested in being a part of a great community and Design Team. Good luck to everyone who applies.

I can't wait to see this new design team and all the greatness coming in the future.

Talk soon <3

Jingle Bells Xmas Card: Stampotique Challenge SDC176: Anything Goes, Week 2

Hello Lovelies

For today's blog post I have a xmas card share that I made for the new Anything Goes Week 2 challenge over at the Stampotique Challenge Blog.  It's 'anything goes' all month long so we can enter up to 5 times to win one of two 30$ prizes!

I used the stamp Noelle for this card, she is one of my favorites. I decide to keep it on a simple white background and used some of the Stampotque presents cube and embellishments along with a red border sticker, some washi tape and punch out snowflakes. I loved the look of those snowflakes on the previous card I made so I decide to use them again.

For the sentiment I wanted something sassy to make the stamp so I found this sentiment around on pinterest and used alpha stickers to spell it out.

I hope you enjoyed this card share. I'm busing working on more holiday cards for my crafty friends. these are the cards I have so far, I believe I have 10 more to make, eek!

Thanks for stopping by!

I have a few project ideas lined up and I cannot wait to share them all with you throughout the next 2 months! And at the end of my craft series, I will be having a halloween giveaway! I did one last year and I included some of my favorite halloween items, including the movie Hocus Pocus!! I might just do that again this year and include another one of my favorite movies ;)

Now let's get to the first project!

I use my circle Diemond Dies to create my first shaker card! I had a lot of fun making it.

I dry embossed white cardstock with my Haunted Demask embossing folder from Cuttlebug and added orange distress ink on top to make the pattern stick out.

Please watch my video for more information on how I put this card together and the products I used.

Hope you like my first project in my Halloween series!

I used image #102 Teacher With Bloody Eyeballs and colored her in with my copic markers.

I then created a bow and added a puffy eyeball sticker in the center. This is my favorite part of the card :)

Now let's get to the prizes!
Lizzy has decided to shake things up so there is no longer only 1 prize, there are now 4 WINNERS for both the Facebook challenges and the Blog Challenges!!!!! How super awesome and gracious is that!!!! So here is how the new set up will work:

Forever Haunted | Oddball Art Design Team Challenge

 Hey Lovelies,

It is time for a new challenge over at the Oddball Stamp Blog! The theme for this challenge is simple, just show off your coloring skills using any color medium you like. Just have fun with it. Enter our challenge for a chance to win 3 free digital stamps of your choice!!

So come on play along, you have plenty of time to join; the challenge will end on August 14th!

Those who follow me on Facebook and youtube know that I have been on a halloween kick, I cannot wait to get my hands on some of the new halloween goodies for this year! I am also hosting a halloween project swap this month so I've been playing with my halloween stash and created this card.

I had colored other digis using pencil crayons and water-colour crayons but I feel most comfortable with copics so I started over.

I used the Fairy Batgirl digi. I absolutely adore her. I added wink of stella in clear to her batwings and dress.

The flowers and ribbons were gifted to me in some recent happy mail from my friends Susumu and Elizabeth.

I used my new Diemond Dies to create this circle card and my new Bigkick that I won from Susumu.

Isn't she lovely?

Guest Designer For Octopode Factory's New Nautical Digi Stamps | Project #1 Masculine Birthday Card

Hello Lovelies!

Today is the beginning of something special I have planned for the month of July. The lovely Lily Chilvers who is the designer of one of my favorite stamp companies, The Octopode Factory, has asked me to be a guest designer for her new summer nautical digital stamps! I was over the moon and so honored to have been asked because I absolutely love her drawing style and digis.
I wanted to do something special because this is the first time I was ever contacted by a company to showcase their work and also because it is one of my favorite companies. So I have come up with 3 different projects for the month of July 2014! I will post a new video along with a corresponding blog post on every week.

So without any further ado, here is my first project:

I made a clean and simple birthday card for my father. He loves fishing so when I saw this adorable fishy I knew just what to put on his birthday card. This digi is perfect for masculine cards. This digi is called fishes and it also comes with a fish border which you will see used in later projects.

I added stickles to really make him stand out.

If you want further detail on how this card was made and which products I used, check out my video down below:

I hope you like my CAS card for this week.
Don't forget to check back next Tuesday when I share a new project showcasing more nautical digis from The Octopode Factory!

Thanks for stopping by!

SDC 150th Challenge!

Hello Lovelies!

I have a quick post today, I made this birthday card for a friend's birthday but I thought it would be fun to use my Stampotique stamps to recreate her family: her, her husband, and her 2 boys. I Decided to make an easel card simply because I haven't made one in a while.  I am entering this card into Stampotique's Celebration challenge for their 150th challenge! They are also looking to fill some guest designers spots with this challenge (wish me luck!).

I was contemplating wether or not to use a birthday sentiment but I had this project life card sitting on my desk so I decided to just go with that so I trimmed it and glued it down to the bottom section of the card. I think it's a fun sentiment to remember to enjoy and celebrate life!

I got a little messy with the background and used my Silks Acrylics Glazes on a piece of black and white patterned paper. I then hand drew a black and white border and used my super thin black and white washi tape to recreate that border all along the bottom half of the card. I think it turned out pretty cool.
I also used some heart blink and black enamel accents on the sentiment and on the little dots on the background and I used some enamel accents on their eyes as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Polka Dots Galore

Hello Lovelies,

For today's post I have a quick card share. I need to start growing my card inventory for when I have happy mail to send out so I started with this cute card I made for Stampotique's new challenge: Pink, Turquoise and Polka Dots.  Make sure to check them out and you could win a great prize.

I started with a plain white card base and used Distress Paint in Picked Raspberries and Silks Acrylic Glaze in Guatemalan Green which is actually a gorgeous turquoise-y color and I used some punchinella and my new dots stencil to create my polka dots. I just had fun with the stencils and decided to layer the colors.

The stamp I used is called Kitty Squad and I colored them up with my copics and added some stickles and wink of stella to them.

I then added some glitter ribbon tape and black polka dot fabric tape and stamped "hi there" with a new alphabet set I recently bought.

Thanks for stopping by,

Serena

Twinkie Says Hi

Hello Lovelies!

I have yet another Stampotique project share, you all must know by now my love for this stamp company right?

They are still having a call to have your projects featured on their store front at www.stampotique.com. We are allowed to enter up to three times and this will be my last chance entering. Fingers crossed they pick me! They are also having a giveaway!

Here is what I made this time:

This 6x6 card came together late one night. I recently bought black and white polka dot paper from Target and I have been using it on my art journal pages, so I thought to try it out on a card. I used a glue stick to adhere it on white card stock.  I then started by smearing some silver paint on top and then continued with purple and black paint making lines with an old gift card.

I colored Twinkie with some of my new Copic markers and added him on the card with foam adhesive so that he stands out from the busy background.

I used circle punches and glitter paper to create added interest to the background and used my label maker for the sentiment.

I will also be entering this card over on Simon Says Stamp Challenge for this week, the theme is anything goes!

I hope you like! And thanks for stopping by!
