Bah Humbug! Oddball Art Winter Challenge

Hello Lovelies!

And happy 2015!! Today I have a new Oddball Art Design Team Project to share for the recent Winter Theme challenge that is happening on the blog! You have until Jan 14th to enter any and all your Winter themed projects, and remember for this challenge you can use any digital stamp of your choice, but of course, we'd love it if you use one of Lizzy's adorable digis :)

Here is my project: 

Living in Montreal, Canada, the winters can be pretty brutal. It is actually -23 degrees Celsius right as   I type this with a crazy wind chill *brr* So one can see why I dislike the winter! 

Here are a few rules and the prizes up for grabs!

1. You must follow our theme

2. Please mention and link back to our challenge on your personal blogs/galleries

3. Creations must be NEW, no backlinking

4. Limit of 3 entries per person

 1 Random winner will get to choose 3 digis from ODDBALL ART STAMPS and  a Top 3 with prize format as follows.....

Halloween/Spooky Oddball Art Stamp Challenge! Freakshow Inspired Card

Hello Ghoulies!

Long time since I posted on here huh? I just got back from my Halloween Disney world vacation a week ago and I'm ready to get back to crafting!

 Today I am sharing my card for the recent Oddball Art Stamp Challenge! We have a Halloween/spooky/creepy challenge going on right now and it ends on Nov 15th.  If you're anything like me, and are still making Halloween cards (I'm not ready for it to be over) then you have plenty of time to enter your after Halloween projects.

Here is what I made:

I was inspired by the new season of American Horror Story's "Freakshow". This is my version of the clown.

I colored Clown Girl  with my copics and used my die cutting machine for most of the elements on this card.

I just love the ribbons I used and that bow!

I have another "Freakshow" card to share in this collection at another time, don't forget to check back for that!

Too Cute To Spook Card | Oddball Art Facebook Group Challenge

Good Morning Lovelies!

Today is September 1st which means it is time for a new Oddball Art Facebook Challenge!! It also means that we had to say goodbye to some of our old DT members and hello to new members and a new Design Team structure! Thank you to Crystal GetsCrafty Jenn Engle Melissa Nash Oeters for all the amazing work you created for us, it was great working along side you talented ladies!

Now let's welcome some of our new design team member for our new term! We also have a new DT set up; we have divided the group into 2 teams. Today team A will share with you what they've created for this challenge and team B will be creating amazingness over at the blog challenge on September 15th so you don't want to miss out on that!

 Now here is a look at what I created for this challenge, once again the theme is "anything goes"

Now here's the thing, I really set out to create something else other than a halloween card this time around, i swear I did but in the end this is what I came up with lol. It's ok, halloween is the best and I will be sending it out to a Youtube buddy!

I used image #102 Teacher With Bloody Eyeballs and colored her in with my copic markers.

I then created a bow and added a puffy eyeball sticker in the center. This is my favorite part of the card :)

Now let's get to the prizes!

 Lizzy has decided to shake things up so there is no longer only 1 prize, there are now 4 WINNERS for both the Facebook challenges and the Blog Challenges!!!!! How super awesome and gracious is that!!!! So here is how the new set up will work:

Hey Lovelies,

It is time for a new challenge over at the Oddball Stamp Blog! The theme for this challenge is NONTRADITIONAL HAIR. Enter our challenge for a chance to win 3 free digital stamps of your choice! You have plenty of time to join; the challenge will end on September 14th! So let's get started!

This time around I made 3 project life cards for my friend Cindy's halloween giveaway. I know the theme is nontraditional hair color, but because I always use nontraditional hair colors already in most of my projects like pink, purples, and blues, for me nontraditional hair is what is considered traditional. Did I just lose you there? Hope not, so I went with black and brown.

My first card is 4x6 and I used one of my absolute all time favorite digi Bride of Frankenstein. I used a die cut tombstone and fence and a tombstone sticker along with some bling to finish off this card.

The next card is using Dracula Boy

And the last card is my favorite! I used the creepy cute ghost bat digi. I recently got eyeball epoxy stickers and I couldn't help but put them on this ghosty. It's so cute!! I then add some candy stickers and lots of bling.

Oddball Art Facebook Challenge #5

Hello Lovelies,

Forever Haunted | Oddball Art Design Team Challenge

Those who follow me on Facebook and youtube know that I have been on a halloween kick, I cannot wait to get my hands on some of the new halloween goodies for this year! I am also hosting a halloween project swap this month so I've been playing with my halloween stash and created this card.

I had colored other digis using pencil crayons and water-colour crayons but I feel most comfortable with copics so I started over.

I used the Fairy Batgirl digi. I absolutely adore her. I added wink of stella in clear to her batwings and dress.

The flowers and ribbons were gifted to me in some recent happy mail from my friends Susumu and Elizabeth. 

I used my new Diemond Dies to create this circle card and my new Bigkick that I won from Susumu.

Altered Flower Pot | Oddball Art Design Team Project

For my project I decided to alter this cute little flower pot I've been eyeing at my dollar store. I had a lot of fun making this and it was an all day sort of process but I won't go into to many details on how I made it because I have a process tutorial video up that does just that. Oddball Art Facebook Challenge #3

Hello Lovelies,

Today is the first day of June! Can you believe 2014 is half way done, I definitely can't. So as every first of the month comes so does the new Oddball Art Facebook Challenge! And as usual it is always "anything goes" as long as you use an Oddball Art Digi for this challenge. And you could win  3 free digis of your choice! Lizzy is constantly releasing new digis so there is always so much for you to choose from.

For this challenge I decided to make an art journal page.

For the background I first put down a sheet of black polka dot tissue paper and used it as a clean up page for stencils. I used various sizes of lids and a toilet paper roll to add the larger circles in the background. I then used modelling paste and a credit card to add some textured lines.

 To tie in with her zombie-ness I splattered some watered down green paint on the background as well.

 I printed this cute digi super big so it can take up most of the page in my  Dylusions art journal. I colored her in with my copics.

I then added some black and white washi tapes and heart gems to finish off the page. And I added some glossy accents to her hair bows and skull.

Oddball Art Co Design Team Challenge #3: Girly Glam

Hello Lovelies,

I am here today with the 3rd Oddball Art Stamp challenge for the month of May! 

 The theme for this challenge is GIRLY GLAM. You could enter any recent project you made along as it fits in with the theme, easy right? As my design team project, I decided to make a 4x6 postcard for a swap I am having with a online friend. 

I had a lot of fun playing with different ink/paint mediums to make the background. I have a process video down below so you could watch how this postcard was made.

I colored this girl digi in with my copics. She is one of my favorites from Lizzy, so cute and I love the panda hoody, it's so pastel goth! 

I added a lot of shimmer to her with my Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen which you can see in the picture below. 

And to add even more glam I added a mix of sequins, rhinestones, and sparkly stars. Not to mention there is a subtle shimmer on the background as well from my Heidi Swapp mists.

Dream Deeply {Art Journal Page}

Hello Lovelies,

I am back with an other Oddball Art Stamp Design Team share!

Every 1st of the month we have an "anything goes" using an Oddball art digi challenge over on the Oddball Art's Facebook Page. 

We were given this adorable Big Eyed Girl digi and she is one of my favorites! I made an art journal page:

Zombie Bunny "Hoppy Easter" Card | Oddball Art Design Team Challenge #2

Hello Lovelies,

I am here today with the 2nd Oddball Art Stamp challenge for the month of April! 

 The theme for this challenge is EASTER/SPRING. You could enter any recent project you made along as it fits in with the theme of Easter, easy right? For my DT project, I wanted to showcase this amazing zombie bunny digi that comes with the Zombie Girl Digi. She is so cute! So I made a 6x6 Easter card. I have a process video down below showing exactly what I used and did to create this card. I also show how I colored in the bunny using my Copic markers and Spectrum Noirs.

One thing that may not show up in some of the pictures is that I added Glossy Accents to her heart and added Wink of Stella all over the outline of the bunny, so she is super shimmery!

This is the main image the bunny came with. I added her to the inside of the card.

Oddball Art Facebook Challenge

Hello lovelies!

I'm back with an update and project share. If you read my last post then you would know that I am a part of a new design team for Oddball Arts digital stamps! Super excited, we received such a great response with over 80 participants for our first challenge ever!!  It's still going on so if you want to enter go right ahead! The theme is to use a digital stamp and you have until April 14th to enter!

During the first of every month, we also have a challenge over at Oddball Arts Facebook Page. For this challenge we only ask for you to use an Oddball Art digital stamp. We would love to see people creating with Lizzy love's wonderful stamps so the theme is "anything goes". The prize is 3 digital stamps from Oddball's etsy store of your choosing!

For this challenge I decided to create a standard sized card:

This digital stamp inspired me to create a spring card with fun bright colors. I colored her in with copics and tried doing an ombre effect on her shirt.

If you were here on Thursday you would have seen a tiny sneak peak of my page along with my announcement of being on their first Design Team. I am truly blessed and excited for this opportunity. The amazing artist behind these digital stamps is the crazy talented Lizzy Love.

For my DT project, I was inspired by an art journal page I saw by using spray mists, and it got me thinking, I haven't played with my Dylusions inks in the longest time! They are messy but I love my Dylusions so I busted them out and had fun with it. I won't bore you with all the details but I have a process video up where you can see exactly how this page came to be.  I will add it at the end of this post.

This adorable digi stamp is called Big Eyed Girl No. 17 <-- Click on the name 

 {Had to include a skeleton or two in there hehe}

I colored the digi stamp using both copics and spectrum noirs. Still getting used to using the spectrum markers, in my opinion they do not compare to copics and I don't like the way they handle, but I need more practice using them.
