My Last Oddball Art Design Team Project

Hello Lovelies,

As you have read in the title, today i am here to share with you my last project as a member of Oddball art's design team and FB co-ordinator. I had a great ride and met a lot of amazing people in the last year and i am grateful for the experience Lizzy Love gave me as being Facebook co-ordinator.

My last project is for the Facebook anything goes challenge over at Mixed Mediaology and I created a card.

I was inspired by a photo i saw on Instagram posted by @getmessyartjournal where they made a similar background on an art journal page using washi tape. I took out all my favorite washi tapes and decided to try to re-create my own version of this.  I also added scraps of pink glitter paper that i had sitting on my desk from a previous project.

I used a flower i got from michaels a while back and some glitter pieces also from michaels. My sentiment was made using my dymo label maker and i colored up the digi with my copics.

Well, i guess this is it folks. Thanks for stopping by and thank you to Lizzy Love for having me on her design team. On that note, have you heard about the new DT call? There’s been some new changes and awesome added opportunities added and you all should check it out and apply if you are interested in being a part of a great community and Design Team. Good luck to everyone who applies.

I can't wait to see this new design team and all the greatness coming in the future.

Talk soon <3

Hey Lovelies,

I have a new stampotique project to share but this time it is a birthday card. All month long stampotique's designer challenge is "anything goes".

Here is my card:

I used Twinkie and one of the new party hats stamp cube from Daniel Torrente. I also added some birthday stickers, washi tape, and colored it up with copics.

Hope you enjoyed my card, thanks for stopping by.

Chicken's Words of Wisdom

Hey Lovelies!

Today I have a fun art journal page to share. I am entering it in the new Stampotique challenge and the theme this week is: Pink and Orange background.

Now let me tell you the story of  the perfect timing of this challenge. I recently did a art journal background swap with my friend Jenn who is MixedMediaJenn on youtube. I can't share what I made just yet, but for her background I decided to go out of my comfort zone of colors and use pink and orange (and of course a little touch of purple!). So I already had the color down for this page because I used it to clean up the extra paint on my work surface. So it all worked out perfectly that this challenge was orange and pink. The end. LOL.

I used my new Stampotique stamp "Chicken" that I just got in the mail today
Watch my haul video here (there is also a sneak peek of this page at the end of the video):

I've been on a modelling paste kick recently and I just had to use it on my page. I used 3 different stencils and then went over it and added some pink and orange watercolor just to tone down the white.

Isn't she the cutest? I colored her in my with Copic markers and then sprayed Heidi Swapp white shimmer spray on top. It's hard to see but she has a subtle shimmer. I then tried clear embossing the image.

Thanks for stopping by.

Serena.

Twinkie Says Hi

Hello Lovelies!

I have yet another Stampotique project share, you all must know by now my love for this stamp company right?

They are still having a call to have your projects featured on their store front at www.stampotique.com. We are allowed to enter up to three times and this will be my last chance entering. Fingers crossed they pick me! They are also having a giveaway!

Here is what I made this time:

This 6x6 card came together late one night. I recently bought black and white polka dot paper from Target and I have been using it on my art journal pages, so I thought to try it out on a card. I used a glue stick to adhere it on white card stock.  I then started by smearing some silver paint on top and then continued with purple and black paint making lines with an old gift card.

I colored Twinkie with some of my new Copic markers and added him on the card with foam adhesive so that he stands out from the busy background.

I used circle punches and glitter paper to create added interest to the background and used my label maker for the sentiment.

I will also be entering this card over on Simon Says Stamp Challenge for this week, the theme is anything goes!

I hope you like! And thanks for stopping by!

First Oddball Art Stamp Challenge Kick Off!!

Hello Lovelies,

yup, you guessed it, today is the day that I get to share with you my art journal page for the first ever Oddball Art challenge! If you were here on Thursday you would have seen a tiny sneak peak of my page along with my announcement of being on their first Design Team. I am truly blessed and excited for this opportunity. The amazing artist behind these digital stamps is the crazy talented Lizzy Love.

Come play along with our first challenge! The theme is simple: use a digital stamp. I could be any digi stamp you own. And the prize is delicious, the winner will be receiving 3 free digital stamps of their choice!!

So come on, choose a digi and play along! You have plenty of time to join; the challenge will end on April 15th!

If your are on Instagram:
Make sure to tag your pictures so we can all see what you create with Oddball Art digital stamps!
use these: @oddballartco and #oddballartchallenge . We can't wait to see you on instagram!

For my DT project, I was inspired by an art journal page I saw by using spray mists, and it got me thinking, I haven't played with my Dylusions inks in the longest time! They are messy but I love my Dylusions so I busted them out and had fun with it. I won't bore you with all the details but I have a process video up where you can see exactly how this page came to be.  I will add it at the end of this post.
This adorable digi stamp is called Big Eyed Girl No. 17 <-- Click on the name

 {Had to include a skeleton or two in there hehe}

I colored the digi stamp using both copics and spectrum noirs. Still getting used to using the spectrum markers, in my opinion they do not compare to copics and I don't like the way they handle, but I need more practice using them.

Want to see how this was made? Watch this!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you can play along with us on our first challenge!
