"Pretty In Pink" ATC Share

Hello Lovelies,

Today I wanted to share some ATCs I made for an instagram swap i joined. We had to make 10 (!) ATCs and the theme was "our style". I thought this would be a challenge for me because A) i never made that many ATCs for a swap before and B) i never made that many of the SAME ATC before. All the ATCs i've ever made were different. But, as it turned out, it was relatively simple for me. I decided a way to mass produce everything in stages and it worked.

 These 2 are my favorites

I won't go into too much detail on how i made these ATCs because I cover it all in my video down below:

I also made these ATCs with the idea of entering last week's Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge but i missed the due date. Fortunately for me the theme this week is pink, black, and white so I can enter these babies for this week's challenge (score!).

That's it for me. I will be back soon with a Midori Traveller's Notebook post on why I chose to go this route for 2015.

Hope to see you again!

How Sentimental

Hello Lovelies,

Today I have an entry for Stampotique's recent challenge which is "sentimental". And the page I'm about to share with you was one that I didn't think I would share with anyone because it is one of my most personal art journal pages I feel I have ever made.

I made this page to document something important that happened to me, my boyfriend left to go to Italy to work for 5 months and I am so happy and proud of him but a part of me also felt lost in a way. Without going into further details; this is why this page was made.

I used so many different paints and sprays to create the background along with many different stamps. I used Minky girl stamp and colored her in with copics.

The sentiment is written using rub-on letters.

And I used a number stencil by Dylusions with modelling paste to add random numbers all around the pages. These numbers represent the time and days he will be away.

This page is very sentimental to me and I hope Stampotique members will like it.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's A Celebration {Art Journal Page}

Hello Lovelies,

Stampotique is having an art call where they are looking for some samples of  work made using Stampotique stamps to add to their online store. So I definitely jumped at this opportunity and want to play along, how cool if one of my creations was posted on the store!?!

So I created this art journal page in my new 5x8 Dylusions art journal.

I decided to keep the background simple and just used some paints to build the background color. I then went over it with a Prima flower stencil and Pomegranate Seed Dylusions Spray.
the Stampotique images I used are some of my favorites from Daniel Torrente and they are:

I then made a wonky border with black and white pens and I added some doodling with a black pen. I am also using this page to commemorate the last hop for the 3 month spending freeze I was on. So to celebrate I decided to use party hat stickers! I think it turned out really cute. And I typed and printed out the sentiment and backed it on some silver tulle (I love doing that).

I will be entering this page in the Simon Says challenge blog as well.

Thanks for stopping by!
