I Designed My First Stamp Set, Woah!

Hello Lovelies!

I know i haven't posted here since my giveaway was announced. But i've been super busy the last few weeks creating my very first stamp set ever!

I was given a great opportunity and a kick in the butt by my friend Christopher Alan to design an exclusive limited edition stamp set for his stamp company Brutus|Monroe! 

I made the announcement on my other social media platforms and have even shown a few sneak peaks here and there. But I wanted to go into further detail here on my blog and was waiting for the right moment to share with you all my stamp designing journey. Here we go!

I guess i should begin by stating that at first I was over joyed and terrified when Chris casually asked me to design my own set. He's a great friend and has been there to listen to all my annoying questions and give me support and guidance. I wanted to make him proud but more importantly, I wanted to prove to myself that yes i can do this! I was only given about a month and a half to come up with my first stamp set. And i must admit i did procrastinate at first, i guess i didn't want to face the facts; i had no idea how to get my ideas out of my head and onto paper and then onto Illustrator and photoshop (yikes)! And I was tempted a few times to quit, which i guess is something so easy to do because it doesn't demand too much effort to stop before you're ahead. But I didn't want to give in to that stubborn stupid little voice in my head and I continued on. I am so glad that I did because otherwise my beautiful little stamp wouldn't have been made and wouldn't be in the hands of so many of you in a 10 days!!

And now i've caught the bug, I want to design and create new sets all day! I have a lot of ideas in the waiting and needed this push to finally chase after my dream, the dream i've had for 3 years now. I can do this, i can try and live the life I've imagined, if not now then when! I want to do this for a living, i NEED to do this for a living. I just can't forget that and the feeling this stamp set has awaken inside of me. 

I hope you all enjoyed this more personal blog post and look into the story behind my first stamp set and my process. Now let's show some sneak peeks! Things are progressing fast so both of these sneaks were released this week.

A lot of you guessed right on what it is! what do you think it is? ;)

I can't wait until you see the peaks I have planned for next week, i can finally reveal some of the images in its entirety and show you what they look like all colored up and on projects!

My set will be available for purchase on the BrutusMonroe website on June 1st 2015.

"Pretty In Pink" ATC Share

Hello Lovelies,

Today I wanted to share some ATCs I made for an instagram swap i joined. We had to make 10 (!) ATCs and the theme was "our style". I thought this would be a challenge for me because A) i never made that many ATCs for a swap before and B) i never made that many of the SAME ATC before. All the ATCs i've ever made were different. But, as it turned out, it was relatively simple for me. I decided a way to mass produce everything in stages and it worked. 

 These 2 are my favorites 

I won't go into too much detail on how i made these ATCs because I cover it all in my video down below:

I also made these ATCs with the idea of entering last week's Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge but i missed the due date. Fortunately for me the theme this week is pink, black, and white so I can enter these babies for this week's challenge (score!).

Halloween/Spooky Oddball Art Stamp Challenge! Freakshow Inspired Card

Hello Ghoulies!

Long time since I posted on here huh? I just got back from my Halloween Disney world vacation a week ago and I'm ready to get back to crafting!

 Today I am sharing my card for the recent Oddball Art Stamp Challenge! We have a Halloween/spooky/creepy challenge going on right now and it ends on Nov 15th.  If you're anything like me, and are still making Halloween cards (I'm not ready for it to be over) then you have plenty of time to enter your after Halloween projects.

Here is what I made:

I was inspired by the new season of American Horror Story's "Freakshow". This is my version of the clown.

I colored Clown Girl  with my copics and used my die cutting machine for most of the elements on this card.

I just love the ribbons I used and that bow!
