In the spirit of Halloween I am throwing a Halloween Giveaway! In order to enter you must make either an altered coffin or a halloween ATC. I am playing along so I altered a coffin! It was my first time using a glue gun ( I know! Crazy huh?!) and my first time ever altering a wooden box and I have a lot of fun with it.
This is what I created:
I went in with an idea and I had made the focal part of the coffin which is this flower a few days before so I knew I was going to use it. I made it using ribbon from michaels and some from my dollar store. I started off using Heidi Swapp Tinsel spray as my first layer and then added black paint on top.
I tried doing the crackle effect using white glue but it didn't really work out for me so I just ended up doing my own thing and made the paint bubble up with my heat tool and then I scraped it and pulled it off using my fingers.
For the inside I lined it with some paper from Carta Bella's Halloween line from 2012 and use some purple trim around it. I then added a glitter spider I bought at my dollar store. I made this coffin so that my mini Living Dead Doll can finally have a home!
Isn't she cute?!
So what do you guys think??? If you have any questions please just ask!
I will be entering my creepy coffin in the recent Stampotique Challenge which is to use buckles, pulls, fasteners, handles, or hinges. This coffin has both hinges and a buckle!
Will also be adding it to Paper Issues Halloween Link Up Giveaway!
Thanks for stopping by!
