Here to share some of my newest mini art journal pages, I can't stop!
So here we go (Warning lots of pictures) :
This page was made with:
Background: watercolor paint, heidi swapp 12x12 heart stencil, Inka gold in rose and silks acrylic glaze in va va voom red. Used washi tape as borders.
Image: Dylusions Pondering Petunia and a flower stamp set for her hair and mini flowers I bought at Walmart. Colored her in with copics outlined with a white gel pen. Quote used wooden alpha set from studio G.
Love it!
I will be entering this page in the new TOFF challenge which is all about ladies. Check it out here.
This next page is awesome. I was inspired by some art I saw from a blog called The Kathyrn Wheel. She's totally awesome and was the one who inspired me to buy these mermaid stamps.
Background: made with watercolor paints, used Heidi Swapp mint green color shine and added some spots. Used Rock Pool stamp set by Kaiserkraft on background and added some white gesso with small caps to add circles.
Close ups of the mermaids:

colored with copics, I added some distress inks around the page to darken it in some spots. The words were edged with distress inks also and I used a mint green shimmer gel pen that actually matched the Heidi Swapp color shine perfectly. So I used this gel pen to outline the quote and mermaids and added some on the background images as well.
Can you see the shimmer??
The quote is something I came up with. The first part was written by me and the "my heart sleeps by the sea" was a quote I found on Pinterest. I just added them both together. This page is dedicated to my love of the ocean, swimming and water. I've always loved just being in water and I yearn to go swimming and be in the ocean. It's fitting that my name means mermaid in Italian/ I'd like to think I was a mermaid in my past life.
I will be entering this page in the recent Stampotique Challenge which is text.
