Tombow USA and Stampendous! Blog Hop 2016!

Hello Lovelies!
Welcome to the Tombow USA and Stampendous! Blog Hop! You probably came here from Kristine Reynolds If you stumbled across my blog go to the Stampendous! Blog to start.

Project #1: Mixed Media Card

Here is how I made this card:

Using the card base that came with the Stampendous Butterfly Duo Stencil Set I began by spreading modeling paste through the stencil.

While waiting for the modeling paste to dry I began doodling through the stencil with the black 0.3mm micron pen that came with the stencil set. This pen is very nice to write with! I made random shapes and doodles. I went with the flow and didn't think too much about it. It was very therapeutic.

Once the modeling paste was dry, I then strayed it with different ink sprays I have in my collection.

Next, I colored in the doodles using the Tombow Recycled Colored Pencils.

I decided to add silver glitter card stock behind my custom made drawing. I find the best adhesive to use when gluing down glitter card stock is the Tombow Xtreme Adhesive  because it really adheres down on the fine glitter whereas other glues on the market just don't have a strong enough hold like the Xtreme Adhesive. BONUS TIP: it's a dry adhesive so you don't have to wait for your glue to dry to continue working on your project!

Next using the Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue I adhered colored rhinestones to finish up the card.

PROJECT #2: Decorative Photo Frame

Here's how I made this project:

I used the Stampendous Butterfly Duo Stencil  Set which includes 6 card bases and a great black micron pen along with the Stampendous Glance Stamp.

Using the Tombow Blending Palette I scribbled on 3 colors and then sprayed it with the Tombow Blending Mister. Using a watercolor brush I added the color to the card base and let it dry.

I then stamped the Stampendous Glance Stamp and went over the lines with the black micron pen to make the lines bolder.

I went in with a white gel pen and white ink spray to add white high lights. This really made the face stand out from the background.

Next,  I trimmed off the back piece of the card and added my art piece in a 5x7 frame. BONUS TIP: use the Tombow MONO Removable Adhesive to help your picture stay in place when adding it to the frame. Since my image was smaller that my frame the Mono Removable Adhesive prevented it from falling or shifting when closing the frame. And because it's removable it will not damage your picture or your background.

I hope you enjoyed my project tutorials!
